5th Korean Film Festival starts on Wednesday
A Taxi Driver
First there was the Lino Ventura desert sand epic Un taxi pour Tobrouk, later followed by Martin Scorsese’s classic Taxi Driver and the slightly less memorable Taxi franchise by Luc Besson.
To this illustrious list of cinematic taxi adventures, we may now add Taeksi Woonjunsa, a poetic-sounding title that might lead you to expect a Danish drama. Thanks to the picture above, however, you will immediately see that this road movie is set in a very different part of the world.
Taeksi Woonjunsa – released internationally as A Taxi Driver – will open the 5th Korean Film Festival at Bozar on 20 September. Until 30 September, the Brussels Korean Cultural Center will be screening a selection of recent Korean films both at Bozar and in cinemas like Aventure Ciné Confort and Galeries. We’ve already hailed a cab!
