Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is vintage Tim Burton.
The film adaptation of the fantasy novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs is about a group of special children with equally special gifts who all live together in an orphanage that is under attack by monsters who love to eat children’s eyes. Expect a flamboyant mix of Groundhog Day, The Addams Family, X-Men, and a tribute to stop-motion pioneer Ray Harryhausen, and one that even has room for a dash of romance.
