In Cornwall two centuries ago, an orphan inherits the estate of the rich uncle who raised him. Philip (Sam Claflin) thinks that his beloved uncle was poisoned in Tuscany by his younger wife Rachel (Rachel Weisz) and he wants revenge.

But she twists him around her little finger in no time. The infatuated young man is ready to leave her the entire inheritance. The question of who Rachel is provides a minimum of tension and drama. Is she a black widow or a misunderstood woman? The only problem is that if you pay attention, answering that question isn’t difficult. But the stunning landscapes, costumes, and cinematography make My Cousin Rachel worth watching.
