Everyone makes mistakes.
The problem with Nordic noir The Snowman is that absolutely everyone made the same mistake at the same time: the director Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In), the screenwriter Hossein Amini (Drive), and actors Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, Chloë Sevigny, and even the great Michael Fassbender.
He plays an alcoholic detective who is hunting a serial killer who leaves snowmen behind. But how scary is a snowman, on a scale from one to ten? -4?
