Who? Since the 1990s, French choreographer Jéröme Bel has been defying the expectations of audiences. Gala is a new episode in a series of choreographies that feature unusual performers. Following performers with a mental disability and the audience themselves, amateurs – or rather “fans” – are given the chance to do their thing with the dancers.
Why? Gala is all about fun and enjoyment on the stage, which is expressed in the colourful range of genres that are incorporated in the piece.
