Brussels and Flemish High tech companies have a hard time finding staff, as was announced today in De Tijd. It's a paradox when you know that unemployment is high in Brussels. ICT positions have become a sector in shortage.

At Atos Worldline, based in Brussels and specialising in electronic payments, the lack of technicians can also be felt. Half the positions are still open. For the moment, they're re looking for 55 people. Atos Worldline offers many possibilities.

Young people have a chance because 50% of recruitees in 2016 were young people. The positions are varied. But we don't have enough candidates to fill everything.

At Spie, a company specialized in technological maintenance and development, they constantly have an average of 75 vacant positions. Overall, 1200 people work for them.

They see a lack of professional technicians on the market. One of the causes is the under qualification of job seekers.
