Being stuck at home has taught us one thing: cooking twice a day, even if you're on your own, is a full-time job. Fortunately, a number of places are offering delivery services that are both safe and efficient. They represent a lifeline for restauranteurs.

Tero
Tero has made a name for itself by providing food with a global outlook, which reconciles healthiness and hedonism. Best of all, they set up a farm near Namur, la Ferme des Rabanisse, which supplies both their vegetables and their meat (Salers beef and Duroc pork). Now is a great time to offer a menu that is in tempo with the seasons.
The self-sufficient nature of the place also enables them to roll out a range of dishes to take away every week: aubergine caviar with marjoram, beetroot houmous, artichokes in vinaigrette, Belgian endives with orange, chocolate mousse, etc., and precious packages of meats, farm honey, and vegetables that are guaranteed to be 100% locally grown. All this is available for collection on Thursdays from 5 pm to 7 pm at 1, rue Saint-Bernard, Sint-Gillis/Saint-Gilles. A word of advice: place your order as soon as possible in case supplies are taken by storm.

Cantine
We all know Cantine, which includes two excellent establishments, one situated in the centre of Brussels, the other in Vilvoorde. Their approach is to produce creative fare that reflects a consciousness of current issues relating to food. In this time of confinement, Cantine has had the great idea of offering a Sunday brunch. As well as breaking up the monotony of the week, it is both healthy and delicious.
For €25 per person, you can order a box, the contents of which change every week but are always vegan to the core. You can expect it to contain pain au chocolat, organic juice, granola with yoghurt and conserve, houmous, soup, and other dishes inspired by seasonal vegetables. All this can be collected in person from 10 am to 12 noon or delivered to your home, during the same hours, on condition that you live in 1000 Brussels or in Vilvoorde. Good to know: an “Apéro Box” is under consideration.

Les Tartes de Françoise
A success story that needs no introduction, Les Tartes de Françoise has cut back considerably due to the current circumstances. Now open just three days a week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), the place is offering a condensed selection of their treats, available via a delivery service or to take away from one of their three outlets in Brussels (Jette, Uccle Vanderkindere, and Stockel).
Their range of savoury dishes features just four quiches: tomato and goat's cheese, brie and spinach, chicken with coconut and ginger, and Lorraine. They have a much wider selection of desserts: chocolate fondant, pear-frangipane, lemon meringue, chocolate feuilletine, and the quintessential merveilleux, a classic feature of family meals. Logically, given that this is not the time for big family get-togethers, only desserts for four to six people are available for purchase.

Capoue
Since “staying indoors” seems to go hand in hand with “good weather”, the desire for ice cream has found its way into our hearts. Good news, Capoue offers a delivery service every Wednesday. Want some nice cold scoops? It's worth noting that a minimum order is required: placed by email, your order must include at least 2 x ½ litre, a half-litre costing €8.50. Then, you just need to specify your choice of flavours, from the more classic (vanilla, chocolate) to the more original (apple pie and cinnamon, orange blossom, etc.).
