Things are moving fast for Charline Tyberghein. Last year, she graduated cum laude from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, a few months later she won the KoMASK Masters Salon Painting Award.

That's a prize for which 41 graduating students from a whole series of European academies were competing. Now, she is organizing her first Brussels solo exhibition, “Soft News”.

The paintings and installations that the artist from Antwerp is showing at the Beursschouwburg combine wondrously sparing, symbolic vocabulary with a subtle self-portrait at the intersection of the figurative and the abstract. A soft parade of life.
