In his work, Belgian artist Pieter Vermeersch likes to mix painting, architecture, and photography, abstraction and representation. In parallel with his exhibition at M Museum in Leuven, he is presenting a few pieces at the Galerie Greta Meert.

The colours in his paintings spread out like luminous halos. He takes great care to conceal every trace of his process in order to delve deeper into the essence of the images, which are reduced to their simplest expression. And when he applies colour to fragments of marble, or paints surfaces with translucent paint and combines them with pieces of pottery, he reveals the materials‘ most subtle qualities.
