Bert Scholiers, the screenwriter of Sprakeloos (Speechless) wanted to make his directorial debut a funny, jazzy urban film in atmospheric black and white.
Evelien Bosmans and Daphne Wellens are playful as best friends who dive into Antwerp’s nightlife with no intention of saying no to anything.
For fear of the plot being too thin, Scholiers uses magic candy to enter a fantasy world (with talking breasts and black holes), in which the wacky ideas betray a certain amateurism and are not as funny as they should be.
