This nostalgic documentary enriches the myth of London’s Swinging Sixties with a big dose of early Brit-pop and amazing archival footage. It’s a shame though that it pays little attention to film or other forms of pop culture than music.
Film actor Michael Caine gets slightly too much attention, but he is a gifted storyteller and he highlights how radical the break was with the very formal past and how ridiculous the reactions were to the generation that championed colour, movement, and intoxication.
