In 2011, the far-right Anders Breivik shot dead 69 young people on the Norwegian island of Utøya. Following Paul Greengrass, Norwegian director Erik Poppe has now also made a reconstruction of this incomprehensible crime.

He never shows Breivik himself. We see everything through the eyes of Kaja, a character based on various eyewitness testimonies. The events appear to happen in real time. The number of shots is completely accurate. The sound of each shot and of the dying or panicking children is horrifying.
