Fifty years into their career, “Exercise Is Good for You” is the song with which the two beards and one moustache named ZZ Top like to close their sets. It’s not theirs; it’s by Telex, the Brussels electronica trio founded by the late Marc Moulin.

“That little ol’ band from Texas” fell in love with “that little ol’ techno group from Belgium” in the early 1980s, and subsequently injected their own rusty boogie blues with synths and electronic drums.

Whether this resulted in timeless music is for you to judge, but it did take the Texan trio straight to the, uh, top. Give ’m all your lovin’ when they come to blow out their birthday candles in Brussels.

ZZ TOP 25/6, 20.00, Forest National
