There’s a new kid in town. Well, there’s more than one, and they dress up like native Americans. The Black WigWam collective – consisting of DJs P/KTRL, Someguy, and Sensu – are launching a new series of house parties. For their first one, on Saturday 12 October, Black WigWam are sharing one hell of a peace pipe in the shape of Cologne-based producer and DJ Andy

Vaz, who’ll be playing a three-hour set at Mr. Wong. Andy Vaz has been hailed as one of the purveyors of the original minimal techno and house sound. Since 1997, he manages and curates the internationally acclaimed Background Recordings. Through his second label, A Touch of Class, he crosses borders between global deep house and minimal techno. These days, Andy Vaz runs the house label Yore Records, releasing tracks by Rick Wade, Terrence Dixon, Portable, and himself. If you know Andy Vaz has stirred up the crowds at the legendary Liquid Room in Tokyo and the Mutek Festival in Mexico, you know you’re in for a unique treat when you enter Mr. Wong’s WigWam. The Black WigWam crew will make sure you’re in the right mindset and will make you hang around until it’s time to chase bisons again. Peace to all!
