The Fête de l’Iris 2012 has lots to offer. Tonight at 10 pm Ozark Henry will be concluding the first day on place des Palais. Tomorrow there’s a whole range of activities planned, from a Piq Niq Brusselicious to clowns, magicians, a science village... Full details are available on www.fetedeliris.be. Also tomorrow, you can experience Brussels Raw, an initiative of the Brussels Poetry Collective that went on a search for poetry in the city and found 22 poets with brand-new work. David Van Reybrouck, Peter Vermeersch, Xavier Queipo, Frank De Crits, Maky, Geert van Istendael, Manza, Kool Koor, Serge van Duijnhoven, Taha Adnan, Bart Vonck, Kader Sevinç, Hendrik Carette, Sandrine Emmery, Defi J, Serge Meurant, Pesadilla Confort, Anja Golob, Adolfo Barberá del Rosal, Maïa Chauvier, Pitcho and Jozef Estes will be reading their poems in a jazzy fusion of languages and styles, from English and French rap to Turkish elegies, from Slovenian sonnets to Congolese blues. The Fanfare Produit Blanc will be accompanying this poetic afternoon, presented by Annabelle Van Nieuwenhuyse, with a festive and exciting soundtrack.
