At the moment, the display window of Muntpunt, the Flemish Communications House located at the Monnaie House, is filled with 100 beautiful book cover posters of the 100 best books of all time, as voted by readers of the British newspaper The Observer. The project is called I BOOK YOU and is part of the battle against illiteracy. On 24 March, the closing day of the literary Passa Porta Festival, excerpts will be read aloud from these top 100 books in 100 different languages, intended to highlight Brussels in all its diversity. The organisers of I BOOK YOU are looking for volunteer readers whose native language is not Dutch, French, or English. Could this describe you, or do you have friends interested in collaborating? If so, please register via annie.debrabanter@muntpunt.be or 02-227.18.07. Info: www.muntpunt.be
