Party tip: Deep In House XIX

You can go to a party with an excellent house DJ at the decks at least every week in the capital. Over the past two years – they’ll be celebrating their second birthday in April – Deep In House has comfortably nestled themselves into the scene, and have become one of the most important fixtures in Brussels’s nightlife. They are trendsetters in a scene that is already fizzing more than a well-shaken bottle of sparkling water. The posters feature names like Dutchman Sjef Wanders, Tyree Cooper, Jeremy Underground Paris, and guru Kerri Chandler, and they often invite acquainted concepts like Feiern and Ensemble to come and join the party. Because their former location had started bursting at the seams, they are moving to the Belgian techno temple Fuse for this edition. The billing features a man whose name always puts us in a good mood: Anthony Parasole. The New Yorker gradually built his reputation in the house and techno scene. Initially via the legendary Halcyon record shop. Then by organising high-profile parties and his own record label (Deconstruct Music), which he founded with the celebrated Levon Vincent. When he started making music himself two years ago, it was an immediate dance floor success. His DJ sets gain speed like a train leaving the station, roaring away into the night. Hopefully Parasole will stick around to see Silicon Vallée’s live act. In its analogue live sets, the French/Brussels duo paves its way to the higher planes of the techno spheres. The sounds they produce remind us of how extraterrestrial techno sounded in its early years. What’s more, you can expect excellent DJ sets from 54Kolaktiv DJ Phonetics and Deep In House resident Kafim. This party is going to be an absolute corker.
