Full Circle
Four years ago Bridie Nathanson and Louise Hilditch founded Full Circle - “an inspiring place to be”. They bring experts from all around the world to discuss topics such as culture, economics, hard science, philosophy and history, among others. As Louise says: “We wanted to create a community of people who were interested in change and ideas.”

ING Art Centre - Guggenheim: Full Abstraction
American art collectors Peggy and Solomon Guggenheim were outspoken champions of modernism long before giving their name to the famed New York museum. Indeed, abstract art might never have succeeded if not for the wealthy socialite couple’s sponsorship. Guggenheim - Full Abstraction presents 60 paintings from their personal collections. Spanning two continents, three decades and loads of different styles, these works bear witness to a revolution in European and American art. The exhibition scenography is specially designed to immerse visitors in a different world where moods and colours take precedence over recognisable figures. Philip Rylands, director of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, was in Brussels for the opening of Guggenheim: Full Abstraction, at the ING Art Center (until 12 February)

Europe in Brussels: Czech Republic
28 October is the anniversary of the former Czechoslovakia's independence from the Austrian empire in 1918. While the country split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993, the Czechs still celebrate the day as one of their national holidays. We find out more about the Czech Republic and the activities of its community in Belgium.

La Forest Divonne Project Room
La Forest Divonne Project Room Brussels is a showcase for young artists. Jean de Malherbe wants to offer them a chance at exposure so two to three times a year the gallery will be given over to young talent. There will be a jury-awarded prize periodically and the winner will be given a solo show in the entire gallery. This first Project Room edition is entitled Anthropology and features three women: Giulia Manset, Cadine Novarro and Pauline Sarrus (until 19 November).
