Barry Chester is a Brussels-based DJ, digger and multidisciplinary artist. Driven by curiosity above all, he moves across genres and their offshoots, searching for percussive grooves and hypnotic melodies, with a particular taste for genres built around offbeat rhythms and unexpected connections across styles and eras.
He approaches music selection as a space for research, storytelling and, above all, sharing. Alongside this, he is developing his practice as a music producer.
mauvaistudio is his graphic alter ego, through which he explores graphic design, typography, visual identity and editorial design. Two practices that feed into one another, driven by the same obsession: searching, assembling and experimenting.
