A group of restless, disadvantaged youths travel across the US in a tiny minibus, selling magazine subscriptions from door to door.

The bulk of their revenue goes to their boss, a cut-throat capitalist, who, at the same time, is the only one who looks out for them. Andrea Arnold doesn't want our pity, but just puts the camera in between the adolescents and lets us enjoy their raw charisma, rowdiness, and lust for life.

A lyrical teen story that deserves a place up there beside Kids and Spring Breakers.

> American Honey. UK, US, 2016, dir.: Andrea Arnold, act.: Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf, Riley Keough, 163 min.
