Pascal Smet: 'We want a city for the people, not for cars and commuters'

On his first day of work after a long absence due to illness, Brussels' Minister of Mobility Pascal Smet (SP.A) was confronted with monster traffic jams in Brussels, after two incidents in two tunnels. In our studio he repeats his known mantra: less cars in the city. 'We can't do what we did the past 50 years anymore: pushing pedestrians and cyclists out of the city's landscape in favor of the car,' he says.
