The C.E.C.A. house was developed in the 1950s for workers in the steel industry. But the neighbourhoods that architect Willy Van Der Meeren had in mind were never built. However, the prototype was used for a small residential community in Tervuren. The houses in glass and steel are now protected and resident Peter Swinnen makes sure that the uniqueness is not lost.
