Resto: Ciaooo

Our quest for the ultimate pizza brought us to Ciaooo, an unusual space consisting of two adjoining, almost entirely empty rooms.

The owner says the council have forbidden him to install tables, so there is only a shelf attached to the wall, with four high chairs. This is the only seating available, but it is worth eating in, despite the lack of luxury.

We tried it out one lunchtime, sampling a Napoletana (€12), a simple pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, olives, capers, anchovies, and basil. It was made with high-quality ingredients and the base was light and perfectly-cooked. Without a doubt, the best pizzas we’ve had in Brussels. So far.
