The concept of Under 300 is deceptively simple: Loco Dice goes on tour around Europe, playing only at clubs and bars with a maximum capacity of 300 people. Why, one might ask, would you do that, knowing that you can fill halls that fit a few thousand willing dancers? Well, perhaps it is precisely because the techno producer and DJ would like more intimacy with his audience. Yassine Ben Achour, the man behind the artist, began his career in hip hop. With two turntables, a microphone, and a case full of vinyl. The Düsseldorf-based DJ also wants to get back to his roots. No computers or effects, just great music blaring out of the speakers. And apparently, it works, because this is the second time he has organised this trip. Besides the music, the focus is now also on local DJs. Usually, their place is limited to warming up the crowd and providing the necessary aftercare when international names pass through. But Loco Dice likes to announce them and cast the spotlight on them. This honour will befall the Antwerp-based techno DJ Ramon Tapia. Tapia is actually a pretty big name himself already. His groovy tech-house singles are distributed by well-respected labels like Herzblut, Strictly Rhythm, Great Stuff, and the Belgian We Play House. Recently, his remix for techno veteran DJ Sneak even made it onto his mix compilation Fabric. Like we said, pretty big. The club chosen for the stop in Belgium is right in the middle of Ter Kamerenbos/Bois de la Cambre. The Wood, a great, cosy place, is undoubtedly the ideal setting for this Loco Dice. Spicy!
