#100Masters at work

Leaking roofs in the Jubelpark/parc du Cinquantenaire, an Africa Museum that is closed for renovation, and works of modern art that have been anxiously kept in warehouses for years already. Brussels’s museums have a lot to make up for. Between 18 May and 27 August they will be presenting all their hidden treasures. An art tour around the city under the heading #100Masters has been mapped out that takes you to the one hundred most important artworks in Brussels’s 108 museums. Even the Musée Modern Museum, which has been closed since 2011, is presenting absolute masterpieces like Pot of Mussels by Marcel Broodthaers, Pope with Owls by Francis Bacon, and Pygmalion by Paul Delvaux.
