They are famous across the world, the plastic chairs with their distinctive legs and the leather lounge chair by Charles and Ray Eames. Lesser known, however, are the photos that the American designer duo took. In total, their photo archive comprises no fewer than 750,000 images. One of their favourite locations was the film sets of Billy Wilder, the Hollywood director with whom they were friends and who made films like Some Like It Hot and The Seven Year Itch. ADAM, the recently opened art and design museum at the Atomium, is now presenting the series Movie Sets. The 240 snapshots show us a glimpse behind the scenes of Hollywood: we see sets and cameramen, but also big stars like Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.
