It is not just Stephen King who can scare you with a story about a clown who kidnaps children (It). His son can too, but you cannot accuse him of exploiting the family name because he goes by Joe Hill. His short story The Black Phone has now been filmed by Scott Derrickson, the director of Sinister and Doctor Strange.

Ethan Hawke plays the Grabber, a joking creep who leaves a black balloon behind every time he kidnaps someone and brings them to his torture chamber where the young Finney ends up making contact with previous victims via a black phone. Is that scary or is that scary?
