FR |Elena est moins monumental et moins visuellement bluffant que Le Retour et Le Bannissement, mais il frappe à peine moins fort. Riche ou pauvre, dans la Russie des grandes villes, il faut prendre une loupe pour trouver les dernières miettes d’altruisme ou de chaleur humaine.

Tout comme Twilight, le film rencontre surtout un succès parmi les ados. Mais il est toutefois bien plus sombre, plus violent et moins fade.
