Oi! A week ago the Apéros Urbains kicked off their new season. Tonight will see a very special second evening. From 5 until 11.30 pm you can head off to the Parc de Bruxelles at the place des Palais for an exciting start of the weekend. In celebration of next week's release of Le Grand Soir, the new film by Delépine and Kervern, with Benoît Poelvoorde as an ageing punker, the Apéros Urbains are organising an Apéro Punk.
It'll be hard to compete with Poelvoorde by the looks of it, but if you can't restrain yourself from trying, you can take part in a competition for the "best"-looking punk, and present yourself to a jury and the film crew: Benoît Delepine, Albert Dupontel and Benoît Poelvoorde. If you need help getting out of your workwear, there will be a make-up artist and a hairdresser that will try to make you look the part. The soundtrack for the evening and early night at the Parc de Bruxelles will be provided by The KLAXX, DJ TangE, DJ Jean Montevideo, and the actors from Le Grand Soir.
Because with no future ahead, every night is endless, there will be after-parties at two venues. At Wood, Konrad Black, founder of the Canadian label Wagon Repair, and Connie, resident DJ from New York's party concept Resolute, will be digging up the beats! And at Mr Wong, after the Double Dragon party with Villa and La Disco Mafia, DJ The Klaxx will be testing your dancing skills. In next week's issue, you can check out the very amusing interview we had with Benoît Poelvoorde, but for now: one, two, three, four…apéro!
