The Moussem Sounds festival, organised by the Moussem Nomadic Arts Centre and Bozar, presents a series of adventurous concerts that break the boundaries of genre. One of the highlights will be the concert by Othman El Kheloufi.

It is no longer a secret that the sounds emerging from the Middle East and North Africa are highly eclectic and adventurous. All over Europe, people are dancing, sweating, and dreaming away to the swirling arabesques and jittery percussion produced by musicians from non-Western regions.

Moussem Sounds is now showcasing the châabi-folk-pop of the Belgian-Tunisian singer-songwriter Jawhar, the mystical mix of classical, jazz, and Eastern music produced by the Belgian-Iraqi duo Takenouchi Documents, and the châabi-jazz-neo-beldi of the Moroccan saxophonist Othman El Kheloufi.
