Discovering the city while listening to good music and enjoying a drink while sitting back and relaxing in a deck chair, or dancing wildly; we suspect that these are the main motivations of Brüxsel Jardin. The afternoon, evening, and night event moved to the site of Thurn/Tour & Taxis after two editions in the Sint-Bonifaas/Saint-Boniface area, and recently also made a stop at the Iris Festival in the
Warandepark/parc Royal. And they keep evolving, because the open-air affair now also has an indoor section. This not only guarantees that you will have dry feet from 2 pm until 7 am the next day, but also that the programme will feature a bunch of interesting artists. For example, in the “garden”, you can watch Douglas Greed (photo). The German, who is simply called Mario Willms in his daily life, recently released the fantastic album KRL, which hovers somewhere between deliciously crackling electronica and enjoyable dance floor beats. We were very impressed. Furthermore, there will be sensual electronica from the Berlin-based Recondite, electro/chill wave by the Cologne-based Roosevelt and funky house by the duo Robyns and Markey. The “living room”, on the other hand, will be full of the party crew of High Needs Low who have invited two DJs from the international collective Tanzen Ist Auch Sport and Brussels-based talent in the form of Until Then to perform for the occasion. In the meantime, restaurant La Fabbrica will provide delicious vegetarian dishes and barbecued sausages. A fantastic location in the centre of town where you can have an equally wonderful party. Summer’s here, wouldn’t you say?
