For quite some time, La Tentation has been drawing in crowds that like parties with a twist. From salsa lessons on Sunday evenings to the flashbacks to the Fifties and Sixties of Radio Modern, they all have their own niche.

The beautiful dance hall is now also the setting for Groovalicious, a recent party concept that takes a musical journey around the world. DJs Mukambo and Bruselo came up with the idea. Both gentlemen have been promoting world music in Brussels for years. The first is more specialised in Afro-beat, Afro-Latin, reggae, global hip hop, and exotic sounding genres like mangue beat and Ethio-grooves. The latter of the two, on the other hand, is a Balkan beats, cumbia, drum & bass, and dubstep wizard. We probably don’t need to tell you that these two guys guarantee fireworks on the dance floor. Elated birds of different feathers all happy together. Want to watch Brussels transform into an urb’n’jungle? Come to La Tentation this weekend.

Groovalicious 17/5, 22.00, €5/8, La Tentation, Lakensestraat 28 rue de Laeken, Brussel/Bruxelles, www.centrogalego.be
