Size does matter

“Glorious return of this drum ‘n’ bass pioneer,” the Ancienne Belgique announced Roni Size on their website. The producer from Bristol actually did return last year with Take Kontrol, but we honestly can’t say whether that hyper-kinetic music movement with its rattling beats really is ready for a comeback. We do wistfully remember New Forms, the 1997 debut by his collective Reprazent, a red-hot clash between jazz, ragga, and industrial electronica that is still considered a milestone of the genre. Sometimes Size does matter.
