Floating Points

Since 2016, Easter egg hunts have taken place to a beat in Brussels. For the third edition of the Listen! Festival, the Easter weekend bells will sound even more diverse than usual.

At the Horta Gallery, the organizers have planned three consecutive nights with top international names like Actress x Mount Kimbie, Floating Points, Mr. Scruff, and Luke Slater, combined with local DJ talent. For the final evening, they launched a partnership with Fuse, Deep in House, and Basic Moves. Other evenings will be curated by other befriended movers and shakers in Brussels’s nightlife.

On the opening day, there will be free showcases where Belgian labels like Vlek, Tangram Records, or Curle Recordings will claim the spotlights. A Slice of Pie and Back In The Dayz are expecting a few local hip-hop tenors like Zwangere Guy, Lord Gasmique, Seyté, and Hesytap Squad at La Madeleine on Friday. That same evening, Stroom and Crevette Records will curate events at Flagey.

A day later, it will be Crammed Discs’ and Radio Martiko’s turn at the Beursschouwburg. During the day, there will be a record, gear & synth fair, workshops, and masterclasses at the ING Art Center, and you can see the European première of the Radio Soulwax Immersive Installation and the exhibition “Brusseleir Digger”, which will be putting the record collections of ten locals with very diverse backgrounds on display. There is a lot more to Listen! than making people dance.
