Relay for Life
Relay for Life is 24-hour-long event that aims to raise thousands of euros for cancer research. Over 600 individuals will be walking, selling food and drinks, giving manicures and so much more to raise money, spread awareness and celebrate life. We spoke with the organisers of this event, Rebecca Barry and Cindy Menache, who told us all about why they relay..

Europe in Brussels: Luxembourg
Celebrations for Luxembourg’s National Day will begin, as custom has it, the night before 23 June. The small country is home to less than 585,000 people yet you can still find Luxembourgers right here in Brussels. We met with Abby, who just recently found her Luxembourg roots and was happy to connect with her new-found family.

Brusselicious
In 2012 Visit Brussels chose Brusselicious as its theme and from that year of culinary events the Tram Restaurant and the Eat Brussels! festival have become successful annual affairs. Now Visit Brussels is creating the Brusselicious Label. With no existing label, for tourists and locals alike, it is sometimes difficult to know, out of the 3000 restaurants in the city, which ones are the best for traditional Brussels cuisine. Now, when a guest comes visiting from out of town, this list will provide you with a number of vetted options to choose from. This initial list comprises 21 restaurants, 3 informal snackhouses and 12 frites stands. We hear from Olivier Marette of Visit Brussels, selected restaurateur Valerie Leplas and chefs Yannick Van Aeken and Christophe Hardiquest. Maps available at tourist offices and hotels and label visible in restaurant windows.

The Great Get-Together
Friends and former colleagues of the late British member of parliament Jo Cox are organising a community picnic in Brussels' Leopold Park this Sunday to honour her memory - in parallel with more than 100,000 get-togethers all over the UK marking the first anniversary of her murder. Here's a reminder of what's happening, with co-organisers Iona Hamilton and Jonathan Hill.
