Europe in Brussels: Romania
Since their country became an EU member in 2007, Romanians have become one of the most populous expat communities in Belgium. Ahead of their native land's national holiday on December 1, we find out more about the Romanian presence in Belgium.

Brussels Snowman Concert
It wouldn't be the Saint-Nicolas weekend without the annual Brussels Snowman Concert at the Auderghem Cultural Centre, raising money for Brugmann children's hospital. Pianist Mary Gow explains all.

Soviet propaganda
We are all familiar with Soviet Russian posters but we never see the actual art that was produced for poster production. This show at MB-XL Gallery compels us to appreciate the considerable talents of the artists issued from the Russian Academy with a unique show of 45 paintings and sketches created between 1956 and 1984. Art collector and gallery owner Jan de Maere, a professor of both art history and neuroscience, tells us what attracted him to Soviet propaganda art and of the fine line the artists had to walk between their inspiration and GLAVLIT, the state censure bureau. Exploring these and other issues, Mr. de Maere's latest book A History of Transylvania will be published in March by Avant-Propos. Exhibition runs until 17 December.

Listen to The Bulletin on Bruzz 98.8FM every Sunday at midday.
