In 1958, an extraordinary monument arose from the swamps of Brussels for Expo 58. To celebrate the Atomium’s 60th birthday, a range of festivities are being organized this year.

Happy 60th birthday Atomium!
The famous globes are getting their own comic strip, FLO 58 beer will flow copiously, and there will be visual spectacle in the form of fireworks and a lightshow.
On Friday, the programme Galaxy 58 is hosting three exhibitions (“People of 58”, “Graphic 58”, and “Podium 58”).
Nerds Cover Brass Band will beat the big drum of 1990s hits, and DJ Nico will play timeless swing, rock, and disco.
On Sunday, young and old can don their nostalgic dancing shoes for a Kids Guinguette.
