“That’s the privilege of making alternative comics that don’t earn you anything: you can do as you wish,” Danish-born comic book artist Mikkel Ørsted Sauzet confided in us in 2014.

He maintains this unconventional perspective, but in the meantime, his wordless Fétiche (published by Presque Lune) is being praised both at home and abroad. At La Maison CFC, the artist now irreversibly fused with Brussels is presenting original plates from his revolutionary diptych. From the red ballpoint-suffused Haitian slave revolution in the late eighteenth century to the latent spirit of insurrection in Brussels, depicted in blue pen. The revolution will be comicified.
