"The concrete block is dangerous for residents and must be removed as soon as possible," said De Bock. "For children, pensioners and the disabled, it's impossible to cross the street, and whoever wants to go round it must use the bus lane or traffic lane."
De Bock will call the Minister for Transport and Public Works Pascal Smet (SP.A) to account and request "more human urban construction sites", which take account of vulnerable road users. According to the parliamentarian, the MIVB and Brussel Mobiliteit should better control the work of their staff and their subcontractors.
