The residents of Square du Centenaire in Ganshoren are very angry. On September 1, 10 Japanese cherry trees were chopped off to make room for the new tram line 9. But these trees should not have been cut down. Brussel Mobiliteit admits it was a mistake. but this changes nothing for the local residents. "Our neighborhood has lost its charm" they say.
