Every month we select the best that Brussels artists have to offer. These are our favourite goodies of the month of September: from shirts by Merci Le Sang to Julia Reynaud's award-winning comic strip Le Bel Alex.

1. Penta Series
EN/ No, a Manneken Pis corkscrew is not the only kitchen equipment from Brussels. Designer Lies Van Ginderachter finds new forms for the home in the city. Her Penta Series consists of trays in the shape of the Brussels Pentagon and made of Belgian marble or wood from the Sonian Forest. For this, the designer works together with Sonian Wood Coop. Food bloggers find the trays a grateful Instagram canvas. Now all you have to do is learn to cut that portion into small pentagons. (EC)

2. Rin
FR/ Le monde change, Monolithe Noir se métamorphose. Inauguré en 2017 par Antoine Pasqualini, le projet dévolu aux synthés s’est érigé tel un laboratoire d’idées et de sons. Désormais épaulé par le multi-instrumentiste Yannick Dupont (Yôkaï, Jawhar), Pasqualini dévoile un album imaginé à l’intersection de l’ambient et du krautrock. (NAL)

3. Merci Le Sang.
NL/ Een Brusselse tattoo, maar dan uitwisselbaar. Grafisch ontwerper Azed Le Sang werkt doordeweeks in tattooshop Demain J’Arrête in Vorst, maar startte eind 2020 ook een eigen kledinglijn. Zijn T-shirts met speelse illustraties bereiken bekende fans als Le Motel en Roméo Elvis. En Merci Le Sang verkoopt nu ook in Frankrijk: een nieuwe print zet de Franse badstad Marseille in de kijker. Toch meer fan van Brussel? Het ‘Merci Bruxelles’-T-shirt staat nog altijd online. (EC)

4. Le Bel Alex
FR/ Dans la BD Le Bel Alex, les normes de beauté féminines et masculines sont inversées. Ainsi, Noah (h) fait tout pour ressembler à un acteur hollywoodien dans l’espoir de conquérir le coeur d’Alex (f), pleine d’assurance. Retrouvez la Bruxelloise Julia Reynaud (prix Raymond Leblanc pour les jeunes talents de la BD) et son ouvrage au BD Comic Strip Festival. (AF)

5. Zig Zag shirts
EN/ Dazzling sweatshirts and soft plaids for cocooning under. Textile designer Charlotte Thomas turns her colourful, geometric prints into cheerful clothing and home textiles. In September, she will present her first beanbag created together with Antwerp furniture designer Axelle Vertommen. This month, have a rest in it at design gallery B-Collective in rue Rouppe, where Thomas exhibits for Brussels Design September. If you put on one of her sweatshirts as quickly as you can, they might not even notice you. (EC)
