"Last year, I celebrated New Year’s Eve with friends and acquaintances at someone’s dorm room. We went out in the city center afterwards. I believe there was a lot of alcohol and drugs involved. This year, we are probably going to take it easier. We’re going to eat something together and we will have some drinks of course."

"All of my friends have their own apartment now. Some of them are going to live together with friends, others with their girlfriend. Everybody is trying to be more professional and starts to settle themselves. I am more in a transition phase. For the first time in years, New Year’s Eve is going to be slightly quieter and more normal I think. Just like my life."

"At the moment, I am doing research on human rights. I randomly stumbled into it via a friend of mine. But now I doubt if it really suits me and if I’m willing to do this for the rest of my life. I get the feeling that everybody around me is just doing something, including myself. Nobody seems to find that annoying, except for me. I just hope that this phase is like one of these things like Brussels or beer. You need some time to get used to it, you learn to appreciate it and afterwards it’s amazing!"

Humans of Brussels
