After nearly half a century, the café Goupil le Fol near the Grote Markt is accepting takeover offers. Owner Abel hopes to find a new owner who will preserve the character of his bar.

Goupil le Fol in Violetstraat has been open since 1969. The café is crammed with old sofas, bad paintings, flags and references to the monarchy.
Goupil le Fol is also a night bar. Doors open at 6 pm and close in the early morning hours.
"I'm getting older and I will retire soon". "It has nothing to do with the car-free zone", says owner Abel.
"I'm looking for someone who will continue the concept and preserve the name and history".
