One of these exclusive T-shirts, designed by Gilles Vranckx, could be yours!

The drop-dead gorgeous retro cover of this week’s issue was exclusively designed for AGENDA by the Brussels-based illustrator Gilles Vranckx. In February, we gave you a peek behind the doors of his studio in our Wunderkammer series. We discovered that Vranckx devours mangas and comic books, obsessively collects action figures, and is an impassioned film lover. He loves the 1940-’50s work of fashion illustrator René Gruau and considers David Lynch to be the artist he both admires and hates the most at the same time. All these influences result in a continuous stream of drawings that you can follow on his blog, in artwork for customers like Warner and the Offscreen Film Festival, and in his own graphic novel, the work in progress Girl: Now That You’ve Gone. And that brings us back to where Vranckx built his reputation: Les femmes de Gilles. Nothing inspires him more than beautiful women, whether or not they have the same perfect measurements as the vintage Barbies in his private collection. Gilles’ femmes fatales now also adorn a series of exclusive T-shirts. Ladies, this is your chance to turn everyone’s head over the holidays!
