Film: Lumière! L'aventure commence

There is a good chance that you have seen two or three films by the cinema pioneers Louis and Auguste Lumière. But did you know that they made hundreds of fifty-second films, including some historical and artistic gems?

Thierry Frémaux, director of the Cannes Film Festival and head of the Institut Lumière, has compiled a feature-length film of more than one hundred restored films. You will be amazed, and you’ll realize that the new art was off to a flying start.
