With the Affordable Art Fair (AAF), founder Will Ramsay aims to attract a young audience to take its first tentative steps in the art world. All the gallery holders are obliged to display the prices of the works, and the prices cannot exceed 6,000 euro. For the eighth edition in Brussels, 92 mostly foreign galleries that represent a total of about 700 artists are coming to Tour & Taxis. In addition, six young Belgian artists will be exhibiting their work at the fair, and Sint Lucas Antwerp is celebrating its 75th anniversary by selling 75 copies each of 75 editions by teachers and alumni and for 75 euro per piece. And if that weren’t enough, AAF is programming various workshops, in which young and slightly older people can make their own art.
