The famous Art-Nouveau restaurant De Ultieme Hallucinatie in Koningsstraat was declared bankrupt in March. The restaurant has been closed since. Schaarbeek alderman Sait Köse, who bought the building in 2012, is looking for buyers.

The building was designed by Paul Hamesse and built in 1904. Until 1980 it was a hotel. The building, featuring wrought iron, woodwork, marvellous lamps and train seats designed by Henry Van de Velde, is listed. From 2009 to 2013, the restaurant was closed after the death of the previous owner.

Sait Köse bought the building in 2012 and invested 2.5 million in it. The brasserie is faced with high costs and has had few customers for years. It was declared bankrupt in March by the Brussels commercial court.
