Asli Çiçek is a Turkish architect and exhibition architect who moved to Brussels 18 years ago. She immediately fell in love with the city because it reminded her of her native Istanbul. "For the history of urbanism in Brussels, there have been a few decisive moments, such as the construction of the major axes and the period of Expo 58. Everything after and in between is a bit undirected and even messy. I can really enjoy this melancholic mess in the urban fabric, but sometimes I think: it's a shame, it's such a beautiful city."
