Following performances in New York and Mexico City, Björk is presenting her extravagant Cornucopia show in Europe. The eclectic cast includes: Hamrahlid, the 50-member Icelandic choir of which she was once a member, the all-female flute septet Viibra, electronica wizard Bergur Þórisson, and (via video message) Greta Thunberg. Bizarre? Not at all, female empowerment, technology, and ecological consciousness have always been key themes in an oeuvre which, now that it has been channelled into an immersive theatre production around her most recent album Utopia, continues to break boundaries.
