Comptoir Rodin has a no-nonsense approach.
You choose at the counter from an assortment of rolls, soups, and bowls, and your order is brought to the table. We ate well for €19. The soup of the day, pumpkin and fresh herbs, was perfectly textured and nicely finished with some fresh orange juice and sweet pepper. We would just have liked the
soup to be a little warmer.
Our vegetarian bowl was excellent: a delicious risotto with Parmesan, raw celery, rosemary, and chives.
The roasted oyster mushrooms were a great touch. The cheesecake for dessert was the cherry on the cake: crisp, soft, and sharp at the same time.
